Dim, designer, artist and co-owner of I Love the Seaside, lives with his family near the beach, and takes his main inspiration from the sea. Each morning he cycles along the boulevard to his iconic 1930s studio-office – an elegant red brick building which stands out like a beacon amid the high-rises of Scheveningen Harbour. Here he finds space and forgets time, creating sea-connected art with a graphic and abstract style. Working with multiple techniques and layers, Dim often uses materials he found along the shore.
